Floatin' the River

No, these pictures are not of floating the river but you can't take your camera in the water.  We headed to New Braunfels Monday (7/8) afternoon.  Mason had his 4 month check up that morning and Jeremy had some work things to take care of.  On the way down, Owen started saying his tummy hurt, he was hungry, his tummy hurt so bad.  We pulled off to a McDonalds and went to the bathroom.  Not better.  We were standing in line and I saw the look.  We ran out the back door and he got sick.  After some water and crackers, he was good as new.  Being car sick sucks!!!

We got to the condo about 4:30 and everyone bolted to the river.  Mason and I hung out to get some things unpacked.  Owen loved the river!  He floated in his life jacket that night because they didn't even wait to get tubes!  The crew went for go carts and putt putt but it was raining so they settled for bowling.  I don't think they got home until 11:30.  Mason and I were fast asleep!

The next morning, everyone floated except Jayne and Mason.  It was not that crowed and lots of fun!  Putt putt was on the agenda for the night.

We floated again on Wednesday and there were lots more people on the river.  It seemed to take longer also.  Jeremy, Owen, Graham, and I exited early and went to the pool.  We cleaned up and headed to San Antonio to eat some Mexican food.  The boys found another putt putt / go cart place so of course we had to go.  What a fun filled vacation!

Yummy!

Mason started eating 2 weeks ago.  This was his first feeding, cereal.  He wasn't too sure at first but quickly got the hang of it!  Owen is quite the picture man.  He asks to take pictures of Mason and I (I'm never in any so, what the heck) whenever I have the camera out.  It was much easier to fed with out taking them.  Pretty good job Owen!

So far Mason has had cereal, squash, sweet potatoes, apples, and carrots.  Carrots are his fav.

4 months old

Mason is 4 months old and growing like crazy.  He loves to chew on anything but especially loves his fist!  He is still sleeping well at night and takes short naps during the day.  He loves to smile and talk!  Laying back and relaxing isn't an option, he wants to be sitting up or standing to see everything that is going on.  He loves his bath!

We have had our share of Dr. visits over the past few weeks.  This is 4 weeks of battling eczema.  It started on his head (this was the 1st Dr visit).  We got that cleared up, no problem.  Then he had big patches come up on his elbows.  Went back and got a steroid cream.  His left elbow ended up getting infected and oozing.  Back again.  This time with an antibiotic cream.  That helped a little for about a week.  Then the oozing started again.  Back for our 4th visit.  Now we are on day 4 of an oral antibiotic and a stronger steroid cream in addition to the antibiotic cream.  Oh, did I mention that I have to wrap a 4 month old's elbow...not easy when he wiggles!  Poor guy.  He is really a great baby considering he is itching like crazy.

Happy Birthday Piper!!!

We went to Jacksboro to celebrate Piper's 4th birthday, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.  It was so fun to hang out with everyone.  The older kids played baseball and the little ones watched and slept.  It was so fun to see the kids play with each other...we don't see Piper and Sawyer all that much.

I took Owen to meet Gran Jan, Boo, and Piper the next morning.  They all went to the zoo for a fun day.  Crazy weekend!!!

3 months

3 months old...how time flies.  Mason is such a good baby!  He is sleeping through the night and is in a good mood most of the time.  He talks, smiles, and laughs all of the time.  Of course, not during these pictures.  Owen is still loving on him always.  O changed his first poop diaper last night.  He did a great job...it was a good one.  Mason has moved up to size 2 diapers and size 6 month clothes.  He is a big boy!  There is somewhat of a schedule and hopefully it will fall into place even more next week when I am off.  Bedtime is about 8:30 and he is up around 5:30.  I will not complain about that sleep pattern!  It has been so nice to just get up once!  Thank you Mason!!!  The best thing is watching Owen and Mason together.  It is so cute to listen to Owen mimic what we say to Mason.  Priceless.

Last tball games

We played our last 2 tball games on Friday and Saturday.  They were both make up games.  The boys were so excited to tie the Rangers and beat the Zebras!  It was a lot of fun to see how much they have improved.  Owen is still waiting for the championship game...don't know where that came from.

Preschool Graduation

School is officially over!  Last Tuesday was Preschool graduation and Thursday was their water party.  WOW!  Owen will be coming to Kinder with me next year.  Crazy.  It was a special night for all of the kids.  They sang 2 songs, watched a video of themselves, and walked across the stage.  Such big kids.  Owen was so excited and very proud.

Best Buds

It is so sweet to see these two together!  Mason is always smiling and talking to Owen.  Owen eats it up.  He loves his little brother.  O is always wanting to know where Mason is and what he is doing.  If Mason is within reach, Owen is right there talking to him.  I don't get the camera out much but I couldn't pass this up.

8 weeks

I am trying to get better about taking pictures!  I need another hand!!!  Mason is 8 weeks and growing like a weed.  I went back to work last week and he did pretty well adjusting to the new schedule.  After a couple of weeks of colic boughts, his belly seems to be getting better.  Lets hope it stays that way!  Jeremy will be taking him to his 2 month appointment on Wednesday to get those dreaded shots.

Dodgers vs Zebras

This was a fun game because we played the Zebras!  2 of the boys on that team are in O and G's preschool class.  Owen played 1st and got Kade out.  He made sure to give him thumbs up though.  When Brody made it to 1st, O tried to give him high 5 but Brody wasn't sure what to do.  So, O just told him Hi!  Owen got a big homerun, hitting it in the air to the grass!!!  He also got to play catcher and 3rd base in the last 2 innings.  He had a blast at catcher!  Way to go Dodgers. Win #3.

 Out at 1st

Ready to move

Good jump on the hit

BIG homerun!!!

One month old

One month has gone by.  WOW!  I got these pics the other day after Mason woke up for the morning and I was changing him.  It wasn't long before he let us know he was done and he wanted to eat...now.

  • You are wearing 0-3 or 3 month clothes
  • Size 1 diapers that are getting a little tight
  • You are eating every 3-4 hours (sometimes only 2 hours)
  • You are cooing and smiling at us
  • You are following us with your eyes
  • Your hair has a red tint to it and you still have a lot of it
  • Night feedings are around 8-9ish and then around 1-2ish, and 5-6ish.
  • You are enjoying your bath more and more
  • Owen had to show you off to everyone

Dodgers vs Red Sox

We won our game last night 22-18.  It was a fun game. Owen and Graham got some great outs from short stop to 1st AND when Graham went to 1st and O was pitcher.  Mason woke up and stayed awake most of the game.  So, I only got Owen fielding and Graham batting but didn't get to switch!

Here are some pics of Mason at 3 weeks.  I have been taking some but not posting.  He is such a sweet boy.  He really only gets upset when he is hungry!  The boy can eat!  He finally likes his bath and is so relaxed when he gets out and pjs on.  Friday he will be 1 month old.  Oh how the time flies.

Hunting Eggs

I got to go to Owen's school Easter party.  The Easter bunny came to take pictures before the hunt began.  Owen is scared of any costume animal/person.  He did however get his picure with the bunny but only because Graham went with him and sat by the bunny!

The egg hunt was really fun for them.  The adults hid the eggs so they actually had to look and hunt for them.  They could get 15 each and then they started helping those who didn't have their 15.  I looked up at the end and saw Owen over by the bunny and actually giving it high 5!  WOW!

Once everyone had their eggs, we headed inside for lunch.  It was really fun to see Owen in his "school" environment.  I don't usually get to drop off or pick up so this was a treat for me!
