The last game

Our last game was not our best but it was fun.  All of they boys were there so we were able to get a team picture after the game.  Graham got hurt this game while playing catcher.  He tried to catch a throw home and it hit him right in the thigh.  Owen was so concerned with him being hurt.  He did tough it out after a dug out break and come back to play.  We had a great season but are ready for a break!!!

Dodgers vs Mets (game 2)





We had our first team injury and it was Owen.  He was playing 1st and either lost the ball in the sun or just didn't get his glove up because the ball hit him right in the lip (it was a throw from the pitcher, not a hit thank goodness).  Tears came immediately!  He had to come into the dugout for a few minutes to get it together.  He did go back out that inning and finish in the outfield.  It didn't swell too much but there are blood beads on his lip and a red spot on his gums.  OUCH!  Everything was fine after batting!  Only 2 more games left :(

Dodgers vs Yankees (game 2)

Jay was out of town for this game so Jeremy took over head coaching duties.  We looked a little rusty but ended up playing ok.  Owen got to play catcher for the 1st time.  I'm not sure he could see most of the time, the mask was too big!

 



 

Games from Last Week

These games were against the Rangers and the Indians.  The team is really having a good time and getting better.  It is funny how the meeting/snacks after the game can be the most exciting part of the night.

We had a busy Columbus day!  Owen and I went to wal-mart for a pumpkin and ended up with flowers and 2 pumpkins.  We enjoyed the afternoon painting and planting.  Once Jeremy got home, we carved the other.  It was a fun day off. 

 

 

 

Dodgers vs Grandview

This was a very special game!  They were going to play against Cade's team.  The first thing they said when they got to school was "Cade, we play you tonight!"  Mrs. LeeAnn said that was all they talked about for the rest of the day.  This was the first late game for our team (man was I worn out).  We made sure to say Hi to Cade and his family after the game was over.
