Worker Owen

I think we found Owen's Halloween costume a little early! We were browsing through Tuesday Morning and Owen spotted the helmet. He was sooo excited. He wanted to put it on right there in the store. He loves spotting the tractors "workers" as he calls them. He can even name the different kinds: backhoe, front end loader, pincher (which is a crane), steam roller, skid steer, etc. So we are going to have to take good care of this costume so it will last (or I will be stuck trying to find another which will be impossible when you are actually looking for it).

Galveston Day 3

This was our last day at the beach. It took us a little bit to get going! Everyone was TIRED. We played at the beach and pool for a little while and then went to have lunch at Gaido's (delicious seafood). After some much needed rest time, we were back at the beach. The boys had so much fun digging and trying to catch the mussels. They had a bucket full by the time we were ready to leave! We had such a great time! Escapes was so convenient and an extremely nice place to stay. I'm sure we will be returning.

Galveston Day 2

Everyone woke up ready to go! We ate a quick breakfast and then were off to the beach. We rented an umbrella to have some shade to play under. The weather was great, unlike the 109 back at home. The boys rode the waves (we pulled them) on the boogie boards and climbed on the sand dunes. They LOVED this! Of course we had to go back to the pool before lunch. We rode around for just a bit and we had two sleeping boys. After dinner we took the flashlights to walk on the beach. Jeremy spotted a sand crab and they tortured it with the lights making it scramble all around.

Galveston Day 1

The trip to Galveston was actually not too bad! We left around 7:45 and made it there around 1:30 (we did have to make several stops). Graham sang for us and the boys watched videos. We weren't able to check in but we did swim for a bit and then grab some lunch. By 3:30 we had very clean room. It was much nicer that I expected. We unpacked and then headed to the beach. They played on the beach and fed the sea gulls. More to come...
