Christmas with the Hanson's

We had Christmas with the Hanson's on the 26th (Happy Birthday Dad!) in Hamilton. Owen and Piper did VERY well considering they were running on low. Lindsey whipped up a really great pasta dish and spaghetti from scratch...she made it look so easy. I don't cook much so I am always is awe of people who are so comfortable in the kitchen.

The kids played and waited patiently for presents. They were way excited about opening!!! After they opened, Quin took the kids for a ride in the big Gator. So much fun.

Posing in front of Piper's new kitchen.

Gran Jan and Piper

Boo with both.

Tickle, tickle.

Owen makes sure he gets every piece of paper off before looking at the present.

Piper is ready for another!

Santa

Owen slept with us Christmas Eve...just so we could sleep a little longer! When he woke up, he wanted some juice and a donut (doesn't that sound like his daddy). That was perfect for me to turn on the lights and get the video camera ready. I let him eat his donut and then asked him who came to visit us last night. His fact was sooo cute as he whispered SANTA!!! It was on. I ran to get the camera ready and caught his face as he came into the living room. He was so EXCITED!

We played with the Holiday Train all morning long.

Do you like my train?

Choo Choo

and we added blue track and had all sorts of trains running through the living room. Train heaven.

He didn't like the hat much...this was all I got.

Christmas Eve

Christmas at the Moore's...never a dull moment. I think we went non stop from 12:30 until 6:30. There were lots of presents to be opened. Then it was home to get ready for Santa.

MOLLY! Yellow is Owen's favorite color so I'm sure Molly will be one of his favorite trains.

John Deere tractors.

They all helped open Gram and Granddad's presents.

Huddling up to get the clue to hunt for their big presents. So much fun!

Happy Birthday Fayth and Blair

Happy 4th birthday Fayth. Happy 3rd birthday Blair. I think Owen really enjoyed being the only boy sitting with all of those pretty girls!!!

Christmas Party

Food, fun, and pjs. What a party! The kids had sooo much fun. Owen is pumped about Christmas this year. He had a blast decorating his choo choo train, playing with the kids, and enjoying a yummy breakfast. Jenn, the party was a hit...maybe this should be an annual thing?

Fishing anyone?

I got to experience the Joshua feed store. There are puppies, rabbits, minnows, turkeys, chickens, and much more! Once we said hello to all of the animals we took our worms and "little fish" (minnows) out to the land. It is pretty funny to look in the backseat of Jeremy's truck and see Mac, Hank, and Owen holding the bag of fish.

It is really peaceful in the country! The boys love to explore and climb the "mountain" of dirt. I think Jeremy will have a great fishing partner one day. Owen really likes to play with the worms and minnows but he will get there one day.

Under the Tree

My plan was for Jeremy to bring down the Christmas boxes from the attic and I would put stuff out on Saturday after Thanksgiving (this was Tuesday evening). That is not how things went. As soon as Owen heard that we were getting the tree down, it HAD to be put up. He help me bring in branches, waited while I fluffed, and went back for more. He loved it! We couldn't even stop for dinner (I was hungry). I put the lights on and we were able to wait until the morning for ornaments.

We did get dinner, bath, and as we were getting ready for bed this is where we found Owen. Under the tree. This is where he wanted to watch Barney Christmas (even though he really couldn't see under there). He wouldn't come out...he wanted to sleep under the tree.

Bike

We got Owen a bike for his birthday not knowing if he was ready to ride. The first day he got on he had trouble getting started but would pedal after we helped. The next day it was like he had been riding for days! He hopped on and took off. He rode down the sidewalk, up and down driveways with no problem. I was really surprised!!! He did have a few falls but quickly learned how to catch himself.

Happy 3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday Owen!!! I cannot believe that 3 years have gone by! WOW. It was such a fun party. Thank you to all of our family and friends who came to join us in the chaos. Thank you to those who couldn't make it but sent their love anyway :)

Trick or Treat

I didn't know how this night was going to go. Owen did not fall asleep for his nap until 4:20 (he was still pumped up from his birthday party)! We were supposed to be at Stacy's at 5:30. Not going to happen. We woke Owen up, which is never a good thing, at 5:40. He only wanted to put his Thomas track that he got at his party together. So, we let him take the box AND ride in his underwear to Fort Worth. It worked. When we got to Stacy's, he got dressed and was perfectly fine. Whew!
