Floatin' the River

No, these pictures are not of floating the river but you can't take your camera in the water.  We headed to New Braunfels Monday (7/8) afternoon.  Mason had his 4 month check up that morning and Jeremy had some work things to take care of.  On the way down, Owen started saying his tummy hurt, he was hungry, his tummy hurt so bad.  We pulled off to a McDonalds and went to the bathroom.  Not better.  We were standing in line and I saw the look.  We ran out the back door and he got sick.  After some water and crackers, he was good as new.  Being car sick sucks!!!

We got to the condo about 4:30 and everyone bolted to the river.  Mason and I hung out to get some things unpacked.  Owen loved the river!  He floated in his life jacket that night because they didn't even wait to get tubes!  The crew went for go carts and putt putt but it was raining so they settled for bowling.  I don't think they got home until 11:30.  Mason and I were fast asleep!

The next morning, everyone floated except Jayne and Mason.  It was not that crowed and lots of fun!  Putt putt was on the agenda for the night.

We floated again on Wednesday and there were lots more people on the river.  It seemed to take longer also.  Jeremy, Owen, Graham, and I exited early and went to the pool.  We cleaned up and headed to San Antonio to eat some Mexican food.  The boys found another putt putt / go cart place so of course we had to go.  What a fun filled vacation!

Yummy!

Mason started eating 2 weeks ago.  This was his first feeding, cereal.  He wasn't too sure at first but quickly got the hang of it!  Owen is quite the picture man.  He asks to take pictures of Mason and I (I'm never in any so, what the heck) whenever I have the camera out.  It was much easier to fed with out taking them.  Pretty good job Owen!

So far Mason has had cereal, squash, sweet potatoes, apples, and carrots.  Carrots are his fav.

4 months old

Mason is 4 months old and growing like crazy.  He loves to chew on anything but especially loves his fist!  He is still sleeping well at night and takes short naps during the day.  He loves to smile and talk!  Laying back and relaxing isn't an option, he wants to be sitting up or standing to see everything that is going on.  He loves his bath!

We have had our share of Dr. visits over the past few weeks.  This is 4 weeks of battling eczema.  It started on his head (this was the 1st Dr visit).  We got that cleared up, no problem.  Then he had big patches come up on his elbows.  Went back and got a steroid cream.  His left elbow ended up getting infected and oozing.  Back again.  This time with an antibiotic cream.  That helped a little for about a week.  Then the oozing started again.  Back for our 4th visit.  Now we are on day 4 of an oral antibiotic and a stronger steroid cream in addition to the antibiotic cream.  Oh, did I mention that I have to wrap a 4 month old's elbow...not easy when he wiggles!  Poor guy.  He is really a great baby considering he is itching like crazy.
